In the heart of the Natural Park of the Subbética Mountains (PNSS) in the province of Córdoba, lies Carcabuey, a small municipality where the main activity is agriculture in the olive sector.

The Sierras Subbéticas region is characterized by by being one of the areas producing the best virgin olive oils in Spain.

The climatic and agronomic conditions of the area favor the development of the most traditional olive varieties that stand out in the area. These are the varieties Hojiblanca, Picuda, and Picual.
